Dee Reer

Production Manager

Creative. Competitive. Adaptable.

For Dee, her favorite part of the job is problem solving on new projects. With over 20 years in the business, she brings a winning combination of metal fabricating expertise and a can-do attitude. Born and raised in Sandusky, in her free time she enjoys motorcycling riding and fishing. She is a grandmother of three and has five pets with the best names-Lucian, Marshall, Draco, Billy, and Delores.

John Lazzara

Product Manager

Dedicated. Fearless. Easygoing.

At age 16, John’s first job was at Cedar Point making their famous French fries. Once he completed his BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology, he began work at Busch & Thiem in 1993. John loves the fact that the products are always changing and that he faces new challenges daily. It gives him the opportunity to get creative and where possible, make improvements. In addition to the Toledo Rockets, John is an Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Bengal fan. He has a Russian Tortoise named George, which he has owned for 29 years. Spoiler alert: John’s real first name is Charles.

Sara Straley

Accounting Manager

Determined, conscientious, independent.

Sara is the accounting and book-keeping expert at Busch & Thiem and her favorite part of the job is reconciling accounts. She developed a life-long golf habit during her first job working at a golf course. One of the perks of the job was that she could play for free and that is where she learned the game. In her free time, Sara enjoys, golf, going to the beach or sitting by the pool, reading and museums.

Bryan Ohlemacher

President/Owner

Tenacious. Uncompromising. Honest.

Bryan came to Busch & Thiem 46 years ago with experience as a mold and die maker. Since that time, at some point, he has done almost every job in the company. He loves leading a company that solves problems for customers by doing things the right and responsible way-high quality and on time and within budget. When he leaves work, Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife Gayle and their two golden doodles and seven rescue cats. He also likes riding motorcycles, watching the browns or the Buckeyes, gardening, and blacksmithing. If you ever visit the shop, make sure to check out the chopper in the back corner.
